ARCHITECTURE

Inca architecture was incredibly precise and would have required an immense amount of planning. Stone blocks were used for the creation of structures in the Inca society, and oftentimes no mortar was used to secure the stones. Instead, a widely used method by the Inca was to arrange the stones in such a way that they would fit incredibly close together like a puzzle, with no space in between each one. The Inca made use of the materials that were available to them in their location, and used tools and the naturally occurring fractures in the rock to cut smaller stones. Many structures are still standing today, and this longevity demonstrates how excellent Inca architecture really was. Also, in order for the Inca to have been successful architecturally, they would have had to work together and take part in a lot of organized planning.
